california (donut) dreamin'

Ended a busy week of consults and proposals with korean bbq at gui rim. it was delicious as usual.

Driving home, Ellison had to say "hey let's check out California Donuts!" Even from the car, he was mesmerized by the glass display that held racks of plump fried dough in every sweet form possible. I don't deny people the right to donuts. Ask Kendra!

Found a parking spot right in front (yelpers say it's hard to find parking...guess this trip was meant to be). We were still slightly full from kbbq (and ayce too) but I didn't want to share a donut. David didn't want one, Ellison is known to inhale his food, and Josh might have picked something weird so we almost bought a dozen to split (yeah, i don't get the reasoning either). But we resisted the temptation and just got one each.

*these tiger tails were so plump! it beats the one at donut man HANDS DOWN (so sorry mr. donut man)

*josh wanted the chocolate chip cinnamon roll...we were good friends and talked him out of it

*HO FANCY-AH! the butterfly...a sugary, cinnamony, crumby confection

*asiago cheese croissant, next to it's cousin chocolate croissant

Moderation sucks.

i'm missing out on all the food tours! Fooding at home is boring and semi healthy. I feel empty without my daily dose of saturated fat. sigh. you must take me here soon!
